The dates and price to know
PlayStation’s September 21 announcement sets the controller’s launch for October 30, 2026, with preorders opening October 2. The recommended US price is $84.99; the UK price is £74.99 and the euro price is €84.99.
For PlayStation’s US direct store, the preorder time is 10 a.m. ET. The announcement specifies 10 a.m. local time for its listed UK and European direct-store markets. Check your regional listing rather than treating the US clock as universal.
A collector’s temptation, with a price question
In the BLACKPINK community’s reveal discussion, one commenter joked about adding a seventh controller. Another liked the eyes but wanted more color, while a different commenter found the price too high. The same design can be a collector’s must-have and another player’s easy pass.
That is a useful way to approach the purchase. If you already own a controller, decide whether this particular artwork is what you want to pay for.
